L. V. SIMÓN brings you a collection of spicy novels, brought to you with humor and self-reflection, and promising you thrilling escapades filled with heart and passion.
I am dedicated to crafting captivating novels that whisk readers away on unforgettable journeys of love and desire, but are still grounded in reality so that the story is relatable to most women.
The average age of a romance reader is 42, and yet most romance novels feature protagonists in their 20s. If you're like me, and you roll your eyes every time you read a novel where a 22-year old virgin marries a billionaire, and you think "Girl, you have so many more frogs to kiss..." Well, then you will probably like my stories.
Likewise, you will not see violent, jealous or controlling men being romanticized in my novels. Frankly, it is a bit disconcerting to think that young women are being sold that type of behavior as "sexy." So if you want romance with a bit of realism, humor, and a lot of female empowerment, please give my novels a try.
Please note that all book covers were created from pictures of my own travels. I have been to 76 countries... and counting.

Confessions of an Inadvertent Cougar
Recovering from divorce is always hard, but even harder in your forties when every man you meet is younger.
As the saying goes, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. Victoria Vargas’s divorce at forty-six has left her self-esteem on life support and her heart in triage. Sex is a distant memory, and the dating pool of age-appropriate men has evaporated into a puddle. Meanwhile, the only men flirting with her seem to be much younger, and relentless. They’ve become the predators, and women her age are shockingly their preferred prey.
At first, it’s harmless fun, a casual ego boost. Then she meets Liam. They talk for hours and bond over spending their vacations volunteering with elephants. He feels perfect for her, except he’s twenty-seven, from a different cultural background, and her best friend’s step-nephew. The math is undeniable, and so is her declining estrogen, which she imagines hovering ominously over their future. If she lets herself fall for him, she risks a friendship and a second heartbreak that could shatter her just as she’s rebuilding her life.

Adventures of an Inadvertent Cougar
Accepting the new norm in dating, Victoria tackles her new job while pursuing her true passions: painting, wine and men.
Victoria embraces her new found freedom and dives into a full relationship with a younger man as her career takes a new path. Now that she is not stiffled by societal expectations, will she find her way back to her one true love?

Taming of an Inadvertent Cougar
Victoria becomes a renowned painter and is open to settling down with one man. Only which one will she choose?
Having achieved success in her first passion, art, Victoria is poised to experience true happiness. But her one true love still escapes her, and can she truly be happy without him?

The Engagement Ruse
They will pretend to be engaged to achieve their lifelong goals, but maybe they just need each other.
Inspired by Edith Wharton’s “The Glimpses of the Moon," a hedge fund manager hires a waitress, and aspiring writer, to pose as his fiancée in order to get appointed CEO of his company, but the joke is on them, when real feelings start to emerge.

About the Author
I was born in a small beach town just outside of Havana, Cuba. My father, a vocal dissenter of the communist regime, was imprisoned for several years. Even after his release, our family lived under constant government harassment. When I was nine, my parents secured a boat, and we crossed the Florida Straits seeking freedom.
When I was ten, my sixth-grade, English teacher gave the class an assignment to write a story, and that simple exercise turned into a lifelong obsession. I went on to major in English with a focus on Creative Writing at the University of Florida, then took a long detour through a career in law. But storytelling kept calling me back. Since 2011, I’ve been writing screenplays, directing and producing films.
In 2024, I decided it was time to return to my first love: writing novels. Since then, I’ve completed four manuscripts and I'm in the process of finding representation to get them published.
My stories are full of passion, told with (what I hope is) a healthy dose of humor and self-reflection. I especially want to represent Latina women and women of older demographics that are rarely depicted in romantic stories.
